INTRODUCTION
Run the parade route! The Ostrich Festival 5km Fun Run/Walk is the opening event of the 22nd Annual Chandler Ostrich Festival. Fast, flat and fun! What a great way to spend a Saturday morning! This year the race will take place on AZ Ave following the parade route two hours before the parade begins.
Online registration for The Ostrich Festival Fun Run is now closed. On site registration will be available from 6:30 a.m. race morning. -
COURSE
Start at AZ Ave/Boston
North to turnaround #1 at AZ Ave/Ray
South to turnaround #2 at AZ Ave/Frye
North to finish at Dr. AJ Chandler Park -
COST
$18 until midnight Febuary 20
$20 until 6:00 p.m. March 5
$25 Day of Entry
Free for kids aged 10 and under (no t-shirt with free entry) -
TIMING
This race will be chip timed using equipment by RFID Timing. Timing chips need to be fastened to your ankle with the velcro strap provided and will be collected from you as you cross the finish line. Once issued timing chips are the athletes responsibilty and non-returned chips will be charged to the athlete. -
SCHEDULE
6:30 a.m. Registration opens at Dr. AJ Chandler Park (AZ Ave/Boston)
7:45 a.m. All athletes to start line at AZ Ave/Frye
8:00 a.m. Start of Ostrich Festival 5km Fun Run/Walk
9:15 a.m. Awards presentation -
PARKING
Parking is available at in a parking building on Boston just east of AZ Ave. Please remember that AZ Ave will be closed to traffic from Frye to Knox, this includes east bound and west bound traffic across AZ Ave between Frye and Knox. -

REFUNDS
A refund of half the entry fee paid, less any fees charged by Active for online entry, will be given if requested 30 days before race day. After that there are no refunds or transfers for any reason. This includes weather, injury or the necessity to change distances or the course due to unforeseen and/or unanticipated circumstances.
