INTRODUCTION
The 40th Annual Oktoberfest at Tempe Town Lake presents Das 21st Frank Kush/Oktoberfest Foot Race with distances of 5 Mile, 5km and 1 Mile on a scenic course around Tempe Town Lake. The event will provide additional Oktoberfest “oomp-pah-pah” and further solidify the charitable work of the Frank Kush Youth Foundation and Tempe Sister Cities youth programs. As always, serious runners, walkers, families, kids, and kids in strollers are encouraged to participate. Join the Oktoberfest spirit and dare to run in your lederhosen and dirndls. -

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 11
4pm to 7pm Packet pick up at Road Runner Sports Scottsdale (7077 E Mayo Blvd).
Must be registered by midnight Wednesday, October 10 for race packet to be available at Road Runner Sports.
Timing chips will not be available until race morning.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12
4pm to 7pm Packet pick up at Road Runner Sports Tempe Marketplace.

DIRECTIONS & PARKING
Tempe Beach Park is on the Rio Salado Parkway. From the Loop 202 (Red Mountain Freeway) you can exit at either Priest (west side) or Rural (east side) and travel south to the Rio Salado Parkway.

Througout downtown Tempe -
TIMING
This race will be chip timed using equipment by RFID Timing. Timing chips need to be fastened to your ankle with the velcro strap provided and will be collected from you as you cross the finish line. Once issued timing chips are the athletes responsibility and non-returned chips will be charged to the athlete. With the trucks servicing Oktoberfest it is not feasible for us to have timing equipment on the ground for the starts therefore, times will be gun time to finsih time.
